Police in Germany hunting a man in connection with an international drugs plot say he could be living in Greater Manchester.

Officers trying to trace him now believe he may be living in the Greater Manchester area, and are appealing for anyone who knows where he is to get in touch.

A statement from GMP read: "Robert Lichterfeld, 31, is wanted on a European arrest warrant issued by Germany on June 1, 2016, on the basis that in July 2015 he jointly conceived a plan to obtain large amounts of class A and class B drugs, with the intention of reselling the drugs for a profit.

"It is believed Lichterfeld may be residing in the Greater Manchester area."
