German man stabbed to death in Prachin Buri

PRACHIN BURI: A German man, 60, was found dead with a stab wound to the chest inside a house in Muang district of this eastern Central province on Wednesday morning, police said.

The three-room house is about 100 metres is in tambon Na Muang.

In the first room, police and a doctor from a local ospital found the body of the German (name withheld) lying on a bed, wearing only a pair of shorts. He had been stabbed in the chest, just below the heart.

A knife stained with blood was found near the body.

A neighbour said the German man taught English at a language school in Prachin Buri.

The neighbour said the man was frequently visited by his former wife, who discovered the body. 

The wife said the man called her on Tuesday, saying his mother had just sent him 40,000 baht from Germany, and asking her to go with him to pick it up. 

When she arrived on Wednesday morning, she said, she discovered his body. 

Police were investigating the murder. The German man's body was sent for an autopsy.
