German Doner Kebab is set to open in Newcastle this month.
The 'gourmet kebab' chain promises to bring a "fresh, high-quality taste sensation" with kebabs made with "premium, lean and succulent meats" imported from Germany and fresh local vegetables" served in "handmade toasted breads with unique signature sauces".
German Doner Kebab was founded in Berlin - a city famous for its kebabs thanks to a large Turkish community - in 1989 and now has 90 restaurants across the world.

German Doner Kebab will open its first Newcastle branch in Newgate Street in November 2021. An exact opening date is yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to be around mid-November, with a pre-launch event on Saturday November 13 and Sunday November 14.
German Doner Kebab already has a restaurant in the North East, in Middlesbrough, which opened in October 2021. Another branch is set to open in High Street West, Sunderland, soon.

One open, customers will be able to dine-in, take-away or order for delivery.

According to its online menu, an Original German Doner Kebab is priced at £5.99, or £8.99 for a meal deal. A donner box with fries is priced at £5.99 and a Donner burger £4.99.
