German Bundesliga team announces three new cases of COVID-19

While the NBA looks to make some major decisions about their future this month, the biggest league of importance that has decided to return to training is already showing signs of the difficulty of a restart, even if it’s just for players returning to their facilities to get in shape, let alone a potential sprint to finish the season.

On late Friday, one of the Bundesliga’s squads, FC Cologne, announced three positive tests among their players and staff, according to Rob Harris of the Associated Press. Teams have been back in training for a couple of weeks and Cologne will continue in training, but the three members of the organization who tested positive will be in a 14-day quarantine.

So, while training will continue in German’s top soccer league, the world will be watching to see how they deal with their return. The German government said that they will not decide on whether they will allow teams to play games, even without fans, sometime next week.
