Geri Horner's singing show All Together axed after second series

The BBC singing show All Together Now has been axed after its second series.

The contest co-hosted by Spice Girl Geri Horner, filmed at MediaCityUK at Salford Quay, saw singers competing to win over a judging panel of 100 music experts called 'The 100.

The show launched in 2018 with a £50,000 prize was also fronted by comedian Rob Beckett.

A BBC spokeswoman said: "Whilst there are currently no plans for a further series of All Together Now, we would like to thank Rob and Geri and all members of The 100 for two fabulous series and an unforgettable celebrity special.

"The award-winning format has now sold in 13 countries and the BBC is delighted to have played a part in bringing this unique singing show to the wider TV world.

"We would like to thank the production team for all their hard work in launching such a successful format."

Nicola Greenwood, who lives in Moston, was on the BBC singing show (BBC)

A celebrity edition of the show included Alison Hammond, Laurie Brett and TOWIE and Dancing On Ice favourite Gemma Collins and the winner of this year's show was Welsh singer Shellyann Evans.

Geri, also known as 'Ginger Spice', has just concluded the Spice Girls' reunion tour with Emma Bunton, Mel B and Mel C, which played three nights at the Etihad Stadium.

A young dance troupe sprang a surprise on Geri and her family as they left their hotel for the Spice Girls' final tour date in Manchester earlier this month.

Geri, aka Ginger Spice, was with her husband Christian and her daughter Bluebell, 13 and son Monty, two, when the troupe called Spicealicious decided to spice up their day with a performance to a medley of Spice Girls classics including Wannabe.

Before Geri left for the Etihad she stopped to watch the dancers Kaitlen Williams, Macy Turner, Demi Aughey and Zara Baptiste perform flips and tricks at the steps of the Lowry Hotel in Salford.

During their 13th and final night of the tour held at Wembley Stadium the mother-of-two apologised for leaving the girl band back in 1998 and said she was a 'brat' for doing so.
