Gerard Pique has aimed a cheeky dig at Real Madrid over their president Florentino Perez's leaked audio clips in which he insults a number of club legends.
Spanish outlet El Confidencial have recently published a number of the clips which were recorded of Perez, some of which date back as far as 2006.
In one of them, Perez takes aim at Madrid's cult hero goalkeeper Iker Casillas, and is heard saying: "He's not a Real Madrid goalkeeper, what can I say? He never has been. He has been our biggest mistake.
"The problem is everyone loves him. He has so many people on his side. But anyway, he is one of the biggest frauds."
In another clip he digs out Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming: "This guy is an idiot, a sick man. You think this guy is normal, but he's not normal, otherwise he wouldn't do all the things he does."
There are further audios in which Perez insults the likes of Jose Mourinho and Raul, and the 74-year-old is now threatening to sue El Confidencial for releasing the private documents.
The scandal has brought much joy to Barcelona fans - and it would appear even their players are also enjoying themselves.
On Thursday night, their captain Pique responded to a tweet from El Chiringuito , which included a quote from Barca president Joan Laporta talking about Lionel Messi's contract in which he says "the club are working hard. We are satisfied with how everything is progressing."
Pique couldn't help himself as he asked: "And when do we get the audios?"
Perez, of course, had already had something of a controversial year after masterminding the failed European Super League breakaway.
But he is still refusing to give up hope of the proposed division going ahead one day, and insisted last month the remaining teams (Madrid, Barca and Juventus ) are still in a strong position.
"We are calm, because of what we have, we have won," he told El Transistor. "The English teams were coerced.
"They signed something they shouldn't have signed, because they are committed to the Super League. They wanted to punish them, and the courts have said no.
"There is a binding contract and no one can leave. The Super League continues. We went to the judge who made a ruling and said the Super League cannot be touched. UEFA cannot do anything to the people or the clubs. It's stopped. Now the court in Luxembourg must decide."
