Gerard Butler 'apologised to footballer Jamie O'Hara after chatting up his fiancee on a night out'

Footballer Jamie O'Hara says Gerard Butler apologised to him after chatting up his fiancee on a night out.

Celebrity Big Brother star and former Rangers detractor Jamie, who played for Tottenham Hotspur, and his then fiancee were holidaying in Malibu when he claims the smooth Glasgow born 300 star came onto his girl.

The incident happened when Jamie and his missus were dining at the famed Nobu bar and restaurant which is a favourite with celebrities including Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and Leo DiCaprio.

Jamie explained that Gerard approached his other half as he popped away for a bit to go to the toilet.

The footballer who has previously been engaged and married to Danielle Lloyd and more recently engaged to Elizabeth-Jayne Tierney still listed Gerard as one of his top Scots and clearly has forgiven him.

He said: "I actually met Gerard Butler at Nobu in Malibu, out on the beach and it was beautiful. I'll tell you a funny story, well not so funny for me. He actually tried to chat my bird up when I went to the toilet."

During his chat on TalkSPORT he added: "He didn't realise. Well my missus, not my bird, my fiancee.

"So he's obviously trying to crack on with her and I've come back and he said sorry: 'I didn't realise' and she said 'yeah he just asked me back to his villa'. And I said 'Can I come?'"

Gerard's Malibu mansion was incinerated by wildfires in 2018 and reconstruction work on it began almost two years later.
