Gerald McCoy will take first free-agent visit with Browns

In a surprising turn of events, free-agent defensive tackle Gerald McCoy reportedly likes that the Bengals have an interest in him because he views them as an up-and-coming team.

But he also seems to feel the same way about the Cleveland Browns.

Various reports suggested McCoy would take his first visit in Cleveland and Browns general manager John Dorsey followed up by confirming the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star would start his weekend off in the state of Ohio.

If things work out there the Bengals probably won’t get a shot at him. A report from Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times says 10 teams have an interest, though the original report says the shortlist includes the Bengals and is quite small.

Either way, the Bengals seem to be in the mix in some fashion and McCoy will be in the state over the weekend. As usual, Bengals fans will want to keep a close eye on Cleveland to see what the Browns are doing.
