Gerald McCoy is going ‘wherever I got to go to win’

Free-agent defensive lineman Gerald McCoy has made his plan clear: it’s all about winning.

McCoy, who has or will visit with at least two teams in the AFC North and also has a reported interest in the Cincinnati Bengals, has kept it short and simple when talking publicly about his plans.

“I want to win,” McCoy said, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson. “I’m not worried about where I’m living. Wherever I got to go to win. … Everybody’s open.”

McCoy already visited with the Cleveland Browns but left without a deal. He has a visit with the Baltimore Ravens planned Tuesday and reportedly views the Bengals as a rising team.

This continues to be good news for the Bengals, as it hints that a player of McCoy’s caliber might like the team’s new direction. And McCoy wanting to win isn’t a surprise — in Tampa Bay since 2010 he hasn’t made the playoffs and has seen just two seasons with more than seven wins.
