The Geovation Scotland Accelerator Programme has invited four more start-ups to its initiative that encourages businesses to innovate using Ordnance Survey and HM Land Registry data.
Doorstep Market, Planet Rewild and ZIVA Robotics, all from Edinburgh, and Homey from Livingston are the cohort invited on to this year's programme.
The initiative which was launched last year offers the businesses involved access to data, expertise, mentoring, resources and funding.
Doorstep Market, founded by James Cooper, provides an online guide to independent food producers and supplier with a focus on sustainability. It connects consumers to the businesses through a delivery service which promises to make it as easy to shop local as it is to shop at a supermarket, with one payment and checkout.
Homey, founded by Zishan Ashraf, is a pre-sale property renovation company which helps homeowners to renovate and defer payment for the work done until sale settlement.
Planet Rewild, founded by Edinburgh College of Art graduate Elaine Ford, has developed a location-based gaming app to improve access to nature, adventure tourism and wildlife conservation.
ZIVA Robotics, founded by Mike McDonald, aims to help farmers monitor crops remotely by using a multi-terrain, shock-resistant computerised vehicle which can be used for inspection and surveillance. The business has started working with soft fruit growers to automate data collection which can help predict and improve yields.
Jennifer Henderson, Keeper of the Registers of Scotland, said: "This initiative supports some of Scotland's brightest innovators in finding new ways for our data to be used to deliver economic and social benefits.
"We are delighted to welcome these new entrepreneurs to Geovation Scotland and hope that the programme will provide them with the support they need to grow their businesses, and ultimately play their part in supporting the wider Scottish economy."
Public Finance Minister Ben Macpherson said: "Today marks another significant milestone for the Geovation Scotland Accelerator programme and its ambition to help some of Scotland's tech entrepreneurs reach their full potential
