Striker Giorgios Giakoumakis is closing in on a move to Celtic after the clubs settled on a £2.1 million fee.
The forward was left out of his side's defeat to Jong AZ Alkmaar on Friday night as a transfer to Parkhead edges ever closer.
Record Sport this week revealed the clubs had agreed a price for the 26-year-old, which VVV director of football Stan Valckx has now confirmed.
He announced after the game that the transfer will go through as soon as Giakoumakis agrees terms with the Scottish Premiership side.
He said: "We have agreed a transfer fee with Celtic. It's now up to the player himself to discuss terms with the club for the deal to be completed."
The former AEK Athens hitman held talks with Bundesliga 2 club Werder Bremen, but they opted to spend £3 million to land Marvin Ducksch from Hannover instead.
And Giakoumakis - who netted 26 league goals in just 30 starts last season despite his club being relegated - will now be Ange Postecoglou 's latest signing as his Hoops revolution continues at pace.
The manager is also targeting a move for Benfica prospect Filipe Jota.
