In-demand Georgios Giakoumakis has reportedly named Werder Bremen as his preferred destination despite a fee being agreed with Celtic.
The VVV Venlo striker is a wanted man with the German side looking to sign the 26-year-old ahead of Ange Postecoglou 's side.
Giakoumakis was omitted for VVV-Venlo's clash at the weekend amid swirling speculation surrounding his future as the man who netted 33 goals last season sees what comes next.
Celtic have agreed an initial fee of €2.5million with a sell-on clause entitling Venlo to a percentage of the centre forward's next transfer is also understood to have been included in the agreement.
