Georgia WR Mecole Hardman says he can replace Antonio Brown with the Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers will get a taste of life without wide receiver Antonio Brown in 2019. There is plenty of talent on the roster but replacing the types of plays Brown made isn’t something you just do with a single player. But if you did use one guy, Georgia’s Mecole Hardman Jr. thinks he can be it.

“I can be that guy,” Hardman told TMZ. Hardman also noted his dad is a Steelers fan as he is and would love to see his son on the team. If you only watch Hardman’s highlights, it’s hard to miss the similarities to Brown’s game. He’s probably more like Tyreek Hill in some ways but his ability to pull away from defenders in the open field is tempting.

The downside is he was rarely used at Georgia and you just don’t know what kind of workload he is capable of in the NFL. His triangle numbers are ridiculous but if the Steelers want to bring him in, I wouldn’t even consider it sooner than the fourth round.
