Georgia vs Murray State: A game of firsts

The Georgia Bulldogs defeated Murray State on Saturday by a score of 63-17. The game marked a first time for many occurrences that Dawgs fans hope will become commonplace in Athens over the next few years.

True freshman wide receiver George Pickens caught his first career touchdown pass. Running back Zamir White, who has overcome two different ACL injuries, scored his first career touchdown. Backup quarterback Stetson Bennett threw for his first touchdown ever and ran for another. Receiver Dominick Blaylock caught his first ever touchdown. Freshman defensive end Nolan Smith recorded his first career sack. Furthermore, safety Latavious Brini made his first career interception.

While the opponent may not have been the highest of quality, Saturday certainly established that there is a bright future for the UGA football program.
