Georgia versus Notre Dame halftime analysis, injuries

The Georgia Bulldogs are trailing the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 10-7 at halftime. Both teams got off to a slow start.

Georgia’s special teams have been killing them thus far. Punter Jake Kamarda hit a twenty-five yard punt from Georgia’s fifteen to set up the Irish in great field position. Later, Tyler Simmons muffed a punt to give the Irish the football at the eight yard-line.

There have been limited drives so far in this game, but it is apparent this is going to be a closer game than expected. Georgia is currently suffering from an injury bug. The Dawgs are without right tackle Isaiah Wilson and left guard Solomon Kindley, who suffered a leg injury midway through the second quarter. Defensively, Georgia is without CB Tyson Campbell and CB Eric Stokes, who suffered a knee injury in the first quarter.
