Georgia Tennant slams Facebook after breastfeeding snap deleted for being 'sexual'

David Tennant's outraged wife Georgia took a stand after Facebook removed a picture of her breastfeeding baby daughter Birdie.

The mum-of-five was up in arms after being told her sweet snap breached policies for being too "sexual" and decided to take her complaint straight to the top.

Georgia, 35, slammed the site and contacted Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg directly, telling him to sort his 's**t out'.

She also issued a tongue-in-cheek threat to the billionaire CEO alongside a re-post of the black and white image on Instagram, which is also now owned by Facebook.

Sharing the photo on Wednesday, she said: "@facebook just removed this photo because it violated their policy on sexual images.

"Sort your s**t out @zuck or I’ll come round there and squirt you in the eye. #breastfeeding #ifyouthinkthisissexualitmaybeyouthatistheissue?"

Facebook's official policy states that most breastfeeding photos should be allowed if they do not show the mother's nipple.

It states on the site: "We agree that breastfeeding is natural and beautiful and we're glad to know that it's important for mothers to share their experiences with others on Facebook.

|The vast majority of these photos are compliant with our policies."

Fans joined Georgia in calling out the Facebook chief over the removal of the "beautiful and sweet" picture.

One said: "Since when is feeding a baby sexual? I don’t understand the virtual world sometimes."

One added: "How is this sexual?? You’re caring for your child!"

And another said: "You go girl."

Yesterday we revealed brave Georgia, who married her Doctor Who star husband in 2011, is urging other women to book smear tests after the procedure saved her life in 2018 when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer.

Despite it being caught early, Georgia told how she had started planning her final goodbyes after discovering she had CIN 2 - known as pre-cancer.

The actress took to Instagram on Tuesday and appealed to her fans to go for their own smear tests and told how medics “stopped, beat and cut out” the cancerous cells before the disease had time to spread.

Georgia and her Scots other half share children Ty, 18, Olive, nine, Wilfred, seven, Doris, five, as well as eight-month-old Belle.
