What’s Going To Happen
So how real was the stunner over Tennessee to start the season? Georgia State struggled to get by Furman and got its doors blown off by Western Michigan in a 57-10 disaster.
To be kind, it’s been an uneven season so far.
Texas State can’t get anything going offensively, and the defense got rocked by SMU and Texas A&M. This is the week to try breaking out.
The Bobcats have a fun style of offense that’s really, really not working. The fast-paced attack isn’t making a lot of mistakes, but it can’t move. The running game is dead last in the nation, and the passing game has been picked off seven times.
Georgia State’s D can’t stop anyone on third downs and has the nation’s second-worst defense allowing 541 yards per game.
Between the two, though, expect a fun game.
The TXST attack will finally start to work with a bit of precision against the mediocre Panther secondary, but the Georgia State running game will do a better job of controlling the clock. At home, though, this is when the Texas State O finally starts to show what it can potentially be in a fun shootout.
