Georgia’s key off-season dates in 2019

With Georgia’s 2019 season six months away, there is a long way to go before football is back. For now, fans will have to settle for interesting news coming from NFL Free Agency, the NFL Draft, and spring practice & G-Day.

March 13th, 4 P.M.: NFL Free Agency begins. Signings will be immediately announced. Here’s the list of UGA players set to become NFL Free Agents.

March 19th: UGA opens spring practice

March 20th: Georgia holds it’s Pro Day. In addition to stars of the combine, less heralded players, like Natrez Patrick, Kendall Baker, Ahkil Crumpton, and Juwan Taylor will all get a chance to prove they have what it takes to play on Sundays.

March 28th-30th: Kirby Smart and UGA host the coaches clinic, where Super Bowl Champion Doug Peterson will be the main speaker, along with FAU Coach Lane Kiffin and Greg Williams, the New York Jets’ Defensive Coordinator.

April 20th: G-Day Game, which will be played on the Saturday before Easter

April 25-27th: NFL Draft. Live from Nashville, TN. Round 1 is Thursday Night, the 25th at 8 P.M., with Rounds 2-3 on Friday starting at 7 P.M. and lastly, Rounds 4-7 get underway on Saturday at noon. Immediately following the end of draft on Saturday, undrafted players may sign with teams of their choice.

August 31st: UGA opens the season at Vanderbilt. The off-season is no more! The Dawg’s first game between the hedges is September 7th vs. Murray St.
