Georgia previews sweet new jerseys ahead of 2020 season

The Georgia Bulldogs may be back in black this upcoming season. It’s a fantastic idea during this abnormal year. The University of Georgia hasn’t worn black jerseys in several seasons, but may be breaking them back out.

Additionally, Georgia is wearing red pants once again to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 1980 National Championship. The video previews Zamir White wearing a white jersey with black numbers in addition to the red pants.

Georgia football previewed the new jerseys via their Twitter account:

Overall, both of the jerseys look pretty clean. The spike collar on the black jersey is an excellent new touch. It’s also a great idea to return the red pants, which are a classic look.

The updated jerseys are the perfect idea for this season, which won’t have as much fan engagement due to the limited stadium capacity. The uniforms could also help the school raise funding lost from ticket revenue.
