Georgia players of the game versus Notre Dame

The Georgia Bulldogs held on to beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 23-17 tonight. The game was all it was hyped up to be. Georgia pressured Ian Book to end the Irish’s hopes on a fourth down with less than a minute left in the game.

Offense:

QB Jake Fromm

Fromm played a complete game, where he didn’t turn the football over. He threw one touchdown to Lawerence Cager. Fromm threw very accurate passes all night, completing 20-26 passes. Notre Dame failed to sack Fromm all night long.

WR Lawerence Cager

The Miami Hurricanes transfer, Cager scored a key touchdown to start the fourth quarter. Cager’s score finally gave the Dawgs some separation to build the lead to 20-10. Cager was Fromm’s favorite target all night and hauled in five catches for eighty-two yards.

Defense:

CB Divaad Wilson

The nickle cornerback was a difference maker in second half. Wilson had a key interception to start the second half. Wilson snared the pass from the hands of an Irish receiver.

S J.R. Reed

The veteran Safety made a big-time interception of Ian Book. Reed covered a lot of ground to pick-off the flea flicker. Reed finished with seven tackles.

X-Factor

The record-breaking Stanford Stadium crowd disrupted the Notre Dame offense. The Fighting Irish had numerous pre-snap penalties and had to burn early timeouts in the second half.
