Georgia-Notre Dame to include special pregame treat at Sanford Stadium

The Georgia football team will play host to Notre Dame Saturday in one of the most anticipated games of the 2019 season.

Ticket prices are sky-high, tailgate spots are as coveted as ever and kickoff is just two days away.

In addition to the fan-oriented ‘black-out’ that is being planned for the game, there will be red LED lights used during the evening by Sanford Stadium.

However, what we did not know, was that before Baba O’Riley, Saturday Night’s Alright and the Battle Hymn of the Bulldog Nation, there will be a flyover.

Following an information request put in to the UGA Athletic Office, UGA Wire can now confirm that F-16 Fighting Falcons are scheduled to zoom past Sanford Stadium at the conclusion of the national anthem at 7:53 pm.

Georgia fans who attended the 2017 game in South Bend may remember the four F-15E jets that flew over Notre Dame Stadium, before a 20-19 Bulldog victory.

Saturday’s game will feature a similar scene, which is sure to be spectacular. Make sure you are in your seats for kickoff to witness this incredible sight.
