Georgia jumped to No. 6 in the Associated Press Top 25 college football poll released on Sunday. The move comes after Georgia defeated Florida, 36-17, on Saturday.
Georgia entered the rivalry game ranked No. 7 and Florida was ranked No. 9.
Georgia moved into a tie for fifth with Michigan in the Coaches poll.
Alabama remained No. 1 after an off week with all 60 first-place votes.
Georgia will play No. 11 Kentucky at 3:30 p.m. Saturday with the SEC East title on the line.
The first College Football Playoff poll will be released on Tuesday, the first in the process of selecting the four playoff participants.
