Georgia May Foote wants to have a family - so she's making a lifestyle change as she turns 30

Former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote got fans talking after opening up about getting in great shape as she approaches 30.

The actress from Bury, who is starting six weeks in the gym with a personal trainer, says she feels she needs to make a lifestyle change as getting married and having children will probably happen later in life for her.

She says she'd love to get married and have a baby, but as an actress she has an 'unpredictable career.'

She told her followers in a series of frank posts on Twitter: "So I start a huge personal training six week trial on Monday and I am terrified.

"I had a KFC and a pizza today. If you see me walking extremely slowly and pulling silly faces please understand I am in intense pain in my whole body. I am nearly 30 and need to make a change."

She continued: "Also why when we reach this age do we go into severe panic? Ladies?

"My friends are all getting married and having children. I feel i need to start changing my lifestyle as this will most probably happen later in life to me? Why am I worrying."

She added: "I would love to be a wife. Have a baby. Be a mother. But i have the most unpredictable career. Hopefully one day I will do all of this and make my my family extremely proud."

At the end of last year Georgia opened up about her battle with anxiety, saying at one point "making it to Christmas seemed impossible."

Georgia, who played Katy Armstrong in Corrie , shared a moving post on her Instagram to show she'd got her smile back after being unable to think of herself being happy.

In 2017 her character was killed off in a car accident after moving to Portugal and her ex Chesney Brown brought their son Joseph back to the cobbles.

Katy was played by Georgia from 2010 to 2015 and some viewers were unhappy with the decision to kill off the character, ending a possible return to the soap for the former Strictly Come Dancing star.

After leaving Corrie Georgia was a finalist on the 2015 series of Strictly and she broke up with Sean Ward, who played Callum Logan in the soap, after her time on the BBC One dance show.

She then went on to date her professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice but they split the following summer.

This summer Georgia revealed she had found  love again with boyband star Kris Evans.

Heaping praise on rapper Kris Georgia told her Instagram followers: "I never believed I'd find someone after what I've been through."

In a moving post she shared a photo of herself cuddling up to her man, who was a finalist on Britain's Got Talent with his former band The Mend in 2012.
