Recorded live at her annual ReVoice! festival, these 12 pieces feature Georgia Mancio singing duets with 12 different accompanists. And a distinguished lot they are too, including Tom Cawley, Jason Rebello, Michael Janisch and two eminent singers, Liane Carroll and Ian Shaw, in the role of pianist. An ambitious artist, Mancio has built her career carefully, so that she now has everything covered – technical mastery, expressive range and a remarkable versatility. In the course of this set she handles jazz idioms such as scat and vocalese, standards, ballads, and a beautiful song in Italian, accompanied by accordionist Maurizio Minardi. Oh yes, and at one point she delivers a rather nifty passage of whistling.
