Georgia lands four-star defensive tackle

Just yesterday, four-star defensive tackle Jalen Carter announced a top three of Georgia, Alabama and Clemson.

Today, Carter (Apopka, Florida) tweeted that his list has been narrowed down to one and he has committed to the University of Georgia.

Carter is from Apopka, Florida, where he stars for Apopka High School. He stands 6’4″ and weighs in at 301 pounds, using this massive frame to help clog the running game and rush the quarterback.

247 Sports ranks him as the number ten defensive tackle in the country and the number 95 player overall.

The commitment of Carter will push Georgia even closer to the number four spot in the 2020 recruiting cycle, which is currently held by Miami. However, the good news for Georgia is that out of all the teams in the top-five, the Dawgs have the least amount of commitments with 10. Every other school has at least 14, so once Georgia starts racking up more commitments closer to signing day, the Dawgs should be a lock to finish with another top-three class.
