The Georgia Bulldogs succeeded when they faced their first ranked opponent of the 2020 college football season. The University of Georgia defeated the Auburn Tigers 27-6 in a convincing win.
Georgia dominated the line of scrimmage and held a three touchdown lead for most of the game. The Bulldogs were much more impressive than in their season opening win over the Arkansas Razorbacks (who defeated Mississippi State in a upset on Saturday).
UGA has dominated the series lately against the Tigers, who have now lost 13 of their last 16 games against the Bulldogs. Auburn has especially struggled to score or win on the road in Athens. In fact, Auburn hasn’t beat Georgia in Athens since 2005.
