Georgia football ticket prices rise to highest in country over last decade

Georgia kicks off its 2019 season against Vanderbilt on Saturday in what is expected to be one of the most expensive games of the opening weekend.

Due to Vanderbilt Stadium’s small size and high demand from Bulldog fans, tickets are priced around $145 per person on the secondary market, per TicketIQ.

However, this is not the first expensive game Georgia has played in recently, nor will it be the last. The Bulldogs rank No. 1 in 2019 for the most expensive single-game tickets on average, at $487 per person, which is due in large part to Notre Dame visiting Athens.

Below, you will find how the average secondary-market listing has risen over the last decade on Georgia tickets.

Of note, the get-in admission price has more than doubled since 2011, and is over $100 more than it was last season, according to TicketIQ.

The photo above compares Georgia’s increase in admission to other popular programs around the NCAA, including Alabama, Florida and Auburn.

The Bulldogs have easily seen the highest increase in ticket prices, at 144% since 2011, as opposed to only a 17% increase with Florida.

Though performance on the gridiron likely plays a significant factor in this stat, it’s amazing to see prices skyrocket over the last two seasons with Coach Kirby Smart.
