Georgia football: These defensive stats are insane

This Georgia defense is the best in the conference and one of the few best in the entire NCAA.

Yesterday proved that again, as Georgia held Florida to 21 rushing yards on 19 attempts.

The passing defense could be cleaned up a little bit, but the Dawgs did just fine. And how about Kyle Trask being under pressure all game? These Dawgs are ready to eat.

Compared to the rest of the SEC, there’s no questioning that Georgia has the conference’s best defense.

Just look at these stats and where they rank among the SEC:

(Thanks to DawgsOnTop Instagram for compiling these)

11 Points per Game (1st)

268 Total Yards per Game (1st)

4.43 Yards Per Play (1st)

190 Passing Yards per Game (4th)

5.7 Yards Per Pass Play (3rd)

78 Rushing Yards per Game (1st)

2.8 Yards Per Carry (1st)

29.7% 3rd Down Conversion Rate (1st)

61% Red Zone Conversion Rate (1st)

30% Red zone TD Conversion Rate (1st)
