Georgia football: Score, stat predictions for UGA vs Florida

No. 8 Georgia and No. 6 Florida square off in Jacksonville at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS from the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

For both teams, everything rides on this game. The division, the season, bragging rights, recruiting, and literally anything else you can think of.

Both teams come into today’s game with one loss, and many argue that Florida is riding a ton of momentum into the rivalry showdown.

A majority of the ESPN College GameDay crew picked the Gators, but I’m rolling with the Bulldogs.

Here’s what I see happening today:

Here are a few predictions previewing today’s game.

Score: Georgia, 24-21

Stats…

QB Jake Fromm:

16/24 completions, 256 yards passing, 1 TDs, 1 INT

RB D’Andre Swift:

19 carries, 120 yards, 2 TDs

RB Zamir White:

11 carries, 70 yards

RB Brian Herrien:

8 carries, 59 yards

WR Lawrence Cager:

5 catches, 66 yards

WR George Pickens:

6 catches, 71 yards, 1 TD

WR Demetris Robinson:

3 catches, 40 yards

DB Eric Stokes:

7 solo tackles, no TD allowed

DL Nolan Smith:

1 sack, 6 solo tackles

LB Tae Crowder:

6 solo tackles

K Rodrigo Blankenship:

1/1 field goals, 3/3 PATs

On Georgia’s first drive of the game:

Georgia has had a bye week to fix some of its offensive woes, but the strong Florida defense has also had that same week off. I think the Georgia offense is able to move the ball just enough before Florida gets a drive-ending sack. Hot Rod knows the field goal through and the Dawgs get three.

On Florida’s first drive of the game:

Georgia’s defense comes out and smothers the Florida run defense and forces a third down incompletion. Three and out, Georgia ball.
