Georgia football’s Stanford Stadium will have 20-25% capacity

Stanford Stadium, home of the Georgia Bulldogs, will operate with a 20-25% capacity throughout the 2020 college football season. Athens, Georgia will have a different feel this season without the usual 92,000 fans.

The University of Georgia joins Alabama, Texas Tech, and more as schools to offer 20-25% capacity for their fans. The reduced capacity is necessary for social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Single game tickets are expected to cost $150 per seat. 2020 season tickets will be distributed in September.

All tickets will be available in groups of four. Current season ticket owners can opt-in or opt-out of chances to attend a game in Stanford Stadium.

The Georgia Bulldogs are set to have four home games during the 2020 season. The Dawgs home-opener is against the Auburn Tigers on Oct. 3. They face off against the Tennessee Volunteers the next week. UGA doesn’t have another home game until Nov. 21 against Mississippi State. Georgia’s season finale takes place in Athens against Vanderbilt on Dec. 5.

Georgia’s 10 game SEC-only schedule was released earlier this month. UGA Athletics provides more information for all of your questions here:
