Georgia football: remembering Justin Houston with 42 days until kickoff

With Georgia football 42 days or six weeks away from kickoff, let’s remember Indianapolis Colts defensive end Justin Houston. Houston signed with the Colts after the Chiefs cut him due to his large salary. Houston will be the best pass rusher on the Colts this season. He is making the transition from 3-4 outside linebacker to 4-3 defensive end.

Houston wore the no. 42 jersey during his time in Athens. He captained the team and earned first team All-SEC in 2010, where he recorded ten sacks. Houston went pro following this standout season. He failed a drug test at the NFL Combine, which made him fall to the third round. Kirby Smart’s defense could use a pass rusher like Justin Houston for the 2019 season.

Houston has had an outstanding NFL career, including his 22 sack season in 2014. Houston missed the all time NFL single season sack record by just half a sack. Houston will look to add to his 78.5 career sacks this upcoming season. The Colts will be a contender in the AFC and Houston will be a great Dawg in the NFL to watch again in 2019. The Colts will be glad Houston is on their team this season:
