The Georgia Bulldogs have offered scholarships to Eric Reed Jr. and Isaiah Johnson. Both players are defensive backs. Eric Reed Jr. is a class of 2020 safety who committed to Ole Miss this June. Would a UGA offer be enough for Reed Jr. to change his mind? The four-star out of Calvary Baptist Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana was excited to be offered by another major college program:
Cornerback Isaiah Johnson received an offer from Kirby Smart and Georgia as well. The four-star, who is rated as a five-star on some sites, is a member of the class of 2021. Johnson plays at Bluefield High School in West Virginia. Johnson received numerous offers from major programs across the country on September 1st.
Johnson’s recruitment will take a year or so, but Reed Jr. could flip to Georgia if that’s the offer he’s wanted all along. Georgia will continue to add youth to the secondary as it looks for the next DeAndre Baker.
