Georgia football has something special in 5-star freshman WR George Pickens

“He reminds me a lot of A.J. Green.”

That’s what Georgia safety Richard LeCounte said about freshman wide receiver George Pickens at the beginning of camp.

And in the first half of action against Murray State on Saturday, we see why LeCounte said that.

Pickens, who decommitted from Auburn and signed with Georgia in February, was ranked as the nation’s No. 24 overall player and 4th wide receiver in the 2019 class coming out out Hoover, Alabama.

Against Vanderbilt, Pickens did not record a catch, however, today he reeled in three pretty ones, including a touchdown in the second quarter.

So far today, he has 3 catches for 68 yards and a touchdown.

All three of those catches have made Georgia fans excited about the future of Pickens.
