Georgia – Florida game: Halftime report

Things are looking promising for the Georgia Bulldogs after a first half of play that left them up 13-3.

Florida got the ball to open the game, starting a good drive but ultimately being hindered by penalties and coming up empty on a fourth-down attempt.

UGA then put together an extensive drive on their first possession that ended with a Rodrigo Blankenship field goal.

The UGA defense continued to stifle the Gators throughout the half, as Florida only managed to put up three points despite getting into Dawg territory numerous times.

The Dawgs got their only touchdown of the half on a Dominick Blaylock reception from Jake Fromm that capped off another impressive UGA drive.

D’Andre Swift spearheaded a half-ending drive with an incredible run that put UGA into field goal range, where Blankenship cashed in, putting UGA up 13-3 at the half.

Fromm has 103 yards and a touchdown, and Swift has 56 yards on 13 carries. For the Gators, quarterback Kyle Trask has 106 yards, while their leading rusher Lamical Perine has a mere 10 yards on three carries.

Stay tuned.
