41 years is a long time. On Monday, January 10, the Georgia Bulldogs ended the drought and won the 2021 College Football Playoff national championship.

In the short time since the final whistle blew, I’ve seen some stories posted to social media that have made me tear up. Stories about people thinking of their loved ones who have passed, who would have loved nothing more than to see the Dawgs win it all one more time. Stories of people in hospital beds fighting for their lives, finally getting to witness UGA win it all.
Everyone has a story, and everyone has a reason why this win is more than just a win to them.
