Georgia coach Kirby Smart gets pranked on the links

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart took some time off on Monday and Tuesday to raise funds for the Kirby Smart Family Foundation and work a bit on his golf game.

He was joined at the annual Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge in Greensboro, GA by some of the leading coaches in the country, including Clemson’s Dabo Swinney, Matt Luke of Ole Miss, Auburn’s Gus Malzahn, Mack Brown and Roy Williams of North Carolina, Florida’s Dan Mullen and Brian Kelly of Notre Dame.

Coach Smart and his playing partner, former UGA quarterback David Dukes, finished second in the tournament at -11 under. The Georgia pair raised $90,000 for the coach’s foundation and had some fun along the way.

After sinking a long putt, Coach Smart was tricked when an ejection device spit his putt out of the hole. Watch Kirby’s reaction here:

The Ole Miss team of Coach Luke and Wesley Walls won the $100,000 first prize with a -13 under score.

Since the events inception in 2007, the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl tournament has raised a total of $8.4 million in scholarships and charitable contributions.
