Georgia CB enters NCAA transfer portal

Per a report from Dawgnation, Georgia cornerback Jalen Kimber has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Kimber, a redshirt freshman, was Georgia’s projected starter at the position during the offseason but battled an injury that eventually required season-ending surgery.

Kimber came to Georgia as a four-star cornerback in the class of 2020. Running a 4.4 40-yard dash and has a 42-inch vertical jump, the athleticism is certainly there for an SEC cornerback.  Kimber enrolled early as a freshman.

The Mansfield, Texas, native played in three of Georgia’s games in 2020. He recorded one tackle.

Kimber becomes Georgia’s fourth player to enter the transfer portal since Georgia was crowned national champions on Monday.  He joins receivers Justin Robinson and Jaylen Johnson, plus cornerback Ameer Speed.
