Georgia Bulldogs a step closer to returning to EA Sports video game

If EA Sports’ announcement that they have recently signed ten college football programs for their video game platform, the days of playing football as a Georgia Bulldog may not be too far behind.

Madden NFL 20 delivered some good news with the newest installment of the popular game, which will include a mode where you can create a quarterback and take him all the way from the College Football Playoff through the NFL. When playing those college games, you can choose one of 10 schools.

Clemson, Miami Florida, Florida State, LSU, USC, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and Texas Tech are among the teams you can currently choose.

EA Sports, the company that creates the game, had to reach licensing agreements with the colleges to include them. EA Sports hasn’t had an NCAA football video game since 2013, after prominent lawsuits were filed over players’ likenesses.

Madden NFL 20 is scheduled for release Aug. 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Hopefully UGA and the company can reach terms on a licensing agreement in the near future.
