Georgia Bulldog’s best plays versus Florida Gators

The Georgia Bulldogs won 24-17 over their hated rival, Florida, thanks to some big plays. Let’s take a look at Georgia’s biggest plays of the game.

You have to start with Brian Herrien’s spectacular catch in the second half. Herrien tips the ball to himself and gets a key first down with Georgia backed up on first and fifteen. It took tremendous concentration to make this grab:

After Florida scored a touchdown to make it a one possession game, Jake Fromm connected with Lawrence Cager on a long touchdown:

Excellent usage of play action here. James Coley makes a superb call here and a Gator defensive back panicked and tried to guard a deep pass down the middle instead of finding Cager.

Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm closed the game out with a massive first down completion to tight end Eli Wolf. If the Gators got a stop here, then they would’ve had two minutes to tie up the game. Instead, Fromm, who was flat-footed due to pressure, delivered a beauty to Wolf:

The defense deserves some love too. They haven’t allowed a rushing touchdown all season and are looking stout up front. The front seven shut down Florida’s run game. Early in the game the defense set the tone with this  fourth and short stop:

The Bulldogs are now 7-1 thanks in large part to these game-changing plays. Georgia returns to Athens for a night game against the Missouri Tigers this Saturday.
