Georgia Bulldogs basketball freshman Anthony Edwards made First Team All-SEC ahead of the 2019-2020 season. Edwards is projected to be a high lottery pick in the upcoming 2020 NBA Draft. Congratulations to Edwards who will be a reason to watch the Dawgs win or lose this season.
The Bulldog basketball team is getting more hype this season than any previous season in recent memory. Coach Tom Crean has one of the best recruiting classes ever at Georgia this off-season.
Finishing ninth in a tough conference is sometimes enough to earn a trip to the NCAA Tournament. Last season only seven SEC teams made it to March Madness, but eight made it the year before. SEC Champion Auburn was a couple of bounces away from taking home a title last season. Georgia could finish anywhere from 12th to 5th in SEC this season and it wouldn’t surprise too many folks.
Kentucky and Florida will be the two powerhouses of the SEC this season. Florida landed the best transfer in the nation in Virginia Tech’s Kerry Blackshear Jr. and returns loads of talent. The Wildcats added another elite recruiting class.
