Georgia baseball’s Cam Shepherd returning for senior season

Junior Cam Shepherd is returning to Athens for his senior season in 2020. Shepherd helped lead the Dawgs to the number four national seed before they were upset by the Florida State Seminoles in the Athens Regional.

Shepherd batted .221 in 2019 with 7 HRs and 32 RBIs. Shepherd is an excellent fielder and plays the SS position. Shepherd announced his news yesterday on Twitter:

In addition to that, Shepherd hit a walk-off home run to advance the Bulldogs:

Shepherd will look to improve his game in 2020 and lead the Diamond Dawgs back to the College World Series. Georgia baseball had an incredible run in 2019, but was left with a sour taste in their mouth after falling to FSU.
