Georges St-Pierre joins Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury in praising Jake Paul

Georges St-Pierre has hailed Jake Paul's entrepreneurial skills and thinks the 25-year-old is a "great boxer".

Paul has divided opinions in the fight world since ditching his internet fame to devote his future to boxing last year. 'The Problem Child' won three fights in 2021, finishing with a brutal knockout of ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

Yet to face a 'real boxer', Paul has been accused of 'cherry-picking' his opponents by some fans. UFC legend St-Pierre thinks that Paul does a great job of marketing himself and has been impressed by his skills in the ring.

"He makes a lot of noise and it makes a lot of money, he's a great entrepreneur, a great boxer," St-Pierre told Sport Bible. "I've seen him fight and boxing is great right you know what he did is just unbelievable.

"I'm glad for him. I've known him a little bit very nice guy, always been very nice with me. We're in the entertainment business and he found a way to get there and create a lot of attention and make a lot of noise and it works very, very well. I wish him the best of luck for his next challenge."

St-Pierre's praise echoes comments that former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and current WBC champion Tyson Fury have previously made about Paul. Joshua was impressed that Paul threw himself "in the deep end" after no amateur fights.

"[He’s] great for boxing He's trying, zero amateur experience, throwing himself in the deep end. He'll probably learn a lot more than a lot of fighters, throwing himself in the deep end, putting himself under pressure. Good luck to him," Joshua told iFL TV.

'The Gypsy King' said Jake and brother Logan were a "breath of fresh air" for boxing, but he later backtracked on his comments about Jake in the build-up to his fight against Tommy Fury that was eventually scrapped. “I think he’s a decent fighter for sure,” he said of Jake to TMZ. “I’ve been pretty impressed with the Paul’s, both of them to be fair. Really good breath of fresh air to the boxing scene. Fantastic guys, well done.

After Tommy pulled out of his scheduled fight with Paul last December, Fury said he has no interest in talking about the YouTuber during a foul-mouthed rant. Jake Paul can go suck a d*** for all I care," he told Behind The Gloves. "Him and his brother are two s*** house p****es and they could never live in my world."
