George R.R. Martin says he’ll probably finish ‘Game of Thrones’ books before Giants, Jets win Super Bowl

Author George R.R. Martin is a New York Giants fan in the sense that literally every view he has of the organization is pessimistic, but he’s far from alone in that little corner of the world these days.

But just how pessimistic a view does Martin hold on the current state of the Giants? Or the state of New York football in general?

Well, when asked when he intends to finish the “Game of Thrones” saga, Martin told TMZ Sports that it will “probably” come long before either the Giants or Jets hold up their next Lombardi Trophy.

“I’ll probably finish the saga first,” Martin said.

On the polar opposite side of things, Martin has softened his tone on rookie quarterback Daniel Jones. Martin initially ripped Jones to shreds, suggesting that Giants general manager Dave Gettleman was “insane” for passing over Dwayne Haskins.

“Yeah, yeah. I am definitely [feeling better about Jones],” Martin said.

Is Daniel Jones better than Sam Darnold, though?

“I don’t know yet,” Martin said.

So there you go, “Game of Thrones” fans. You should have the final books in the saga sometime over the next decade.
