Wales have been dealt a major blow ahead of Saturday's Six Nations clash with Scotland after George North was ruled out.
North, who was due to win his 100th Wales cap, has been declared unfit to start in the centre . He suffered an eye injury in an incident with Robbie Henshaw against Ireland on Sunday and is also believed to have picked up another knock.
It means Owen Watkin and Nick Tompkins are set to be paired in the midfield.
North was Wales' most potent attacking threat in Cardiff and has been enjoying a fine run of form in recent weeks.
Wales are already without the injured Johnny Williams and Jonathan Davies. Cardiff Blues centre Willis Halaholo was called up to the squad on Wednesday, but it is unclear if he will be involved in the match 23.
Liam Williams is expected to start on the wing in place of Hallam Amos, with Gareth Davies replacing Tomos Williams at scrum-half and Josh Navidi taking Dan Lydiate's spot in the back row.
Wales officially announce their team at Noon on Thursday.
