George Lazenby Endorses Aaron Taylor-Johnson As Next James Bond

George Lazenby endorses Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the next James Bond.

A former James Bond has given his blessing to Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the next 007, following rumors that the Bullet Train and Kick-Ass star will be the next actor to don the famous tuxedo. George Lazenby, who played the iconic spy in 1969’s On Her Majesty's Secret Service, believes that Taylor-Johnson has the right qualities to do the role justice. Lazenby praised Taylor-Johnson's ability to handle stunts and charm the audience with his tuxedo-clad persona.

While recent rumors suggest that Taylor-Johnson has been offered the role of James Bond, Lazenby remains cautious, noting that securing the role involves a rigorous audition process. The speculation stems from a report by The Sun, claiming that Taylor-Johnson is the top choice for the role and a formal offer is pending his acceptance.

In response to the ongoing rumors, Taylor-Johnson has remained tight-lipped, focusing on his upcoming projects such as The Fall Guy, Nosferatu, and Kraven the Hunter. The actor expressed confidence in his abilities to excel in any role that comes his way.

As fans eagerly await official confirmation on the next James Bond, Taylor-Johnson is set to star in Kraven the Hunter, a Marvel/Sony Spider-Verse film. The movie will delve into the origin story of Sergei Kravinoff, a Russian immigrant determined to prove himself as the world's greatest hunter.

Directed by J. C. Chandor and featuring a star-studded cast including Ariana DeBose, Russell Crowe, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, and Christopher Abbott, Kraven the Hunter is slated for release on August 30, 2024.
