George Kittle exits after taking helmet to knee

The 49ers’ Thursday night in Arizona got off to arguably the worst possible start. They gave up a touchdown on Arizona’s first series, then tight end George Kittle went down on the first offensive play.

He took a helmet to the knee from Cardinals defensive end Chandler Jones and went down in what looked to be significant pain. Kittle limped off without help and went directly to the medical tent. He was jogging on the sidelines and doing squats after leaving the tent.

We’ll provide an update when we have one.

UPDATE

Kittle was back in for the 49ers’ next drive.
