George Foreman responds after being duped into sharing Raoul Moat picture on Twitter

George Foreman has vowed to get revenge the next time he is duped on social media.

Boxing legend Foreman, 70, was tricked by a Twitter prankster on Friday and subsequently shared a picture of gunman Raoul Moat - who shot killed two people, including himself, and sparked a two day manhunt in Northumberland in 2010.

A user tweeted an image of Moat with the declaration: @GeorgeForeman hi George. My uncle was a huge fan of yours, you was his favourite heavyweight of all time.

"Sadly he’s lost his life long battle with nits about 8 and a half weeks ago.

"It would mean the world if you would notice this tweet.”

Former world heavyweight champ Foreman didn’t know who Moat was and apparently didn’t read the tweet either, given the declaration that Moat had died due to nits.

As such, he responded to the ‘fan’ stating: "Means the world to me to read this tweet!

"Thank you for sharing with me. Must have been some man."

The tweet garnered a huge reaction and was retweeted almost 10,000 times with hundreds of replies.

However, soon deleted the tweet after being alerted by hundreds of fans to his mistake.

And once alerted, Foreman vowed to be more careful and offered: "Don't forget, 'I'm the old Dope from the Rope a Dope. My only claim is sincerity!"

And later, he added: "I think somebody is having fun with me; I'm making a comeback now. 3 months I'll be ready for this guy. I'll be through laughing too."
