George Edmundson on his Rangers redemption moment as defender says Ibrox club are 'back to our best'

George Edmundson has said Rangers are back to their best, after his side fought back from behind to beat Hibs on a difficult evening at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard's side had trailed thanks to Paul Hanlon's opener, but Edmundson was able to find an equaliser at the death of the first half - setting the stage for Ianis Hagi to score a dramatic winner late in the second.

Having played his part in the visitors' opener, giving away the free-kick which led to it, Edmundson says he felt he had to redeem himself - and did so with the equaliser.

He said: "It was good, I thought I did alright. Hopefully I can get selected for the next games, so we'll prepare for that and see what happens.

"I gave away the free-kick for their goal so I felt I had to redeem myself. Obviously I've scored, so it's going well.

"The first half performance wasn't too bad, but in the second we went up a gear and performed like we normally do.

"I think everybody knows we've probably been off it the last couple of weeks, and I think that second half performance shows we're back to our best.

"Scoring the goal was massive, a huge moment for me and my career and my family as well. I'm buzzing for it and hopefully I can get some more.

"On Saturday (vs Hamilton) it'll be a tough game, but we'll prepare all week and hopefully we can get the win."
