George Diaz: Minus Danica and Dale, NASCAR rolls with the changes in 2018

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. _ The 2018 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup season starts Sunday with a twofer: Qualifying for the Daytona 500 and the Advance Auto Parts Clash (think Bud Shootout) as the sprint race moves from its traditional Saturday night slot to Sunday afternoon.

Grab your restrictor plates and hang on, kiddos. Life comes at you fast.
