George Diaz: Frost down to 2 choices: Home to Nebraska or continue creating magic at UCF

Your move, Scott Frost.

Stay in Central Florida and continue to build something special or return home to your Nebraska family?

One of those two things will happen.

The coaching dominoes continued to fall over the weekend, bringing Dan Mullen back to Gainesville, Fla., and immediately eliminating one of the usual suspects involving the coaching future of Frost and the UCF football program.

Frost had been linked to the Gators over the weekend, when during an epic victory against South Florida, a report on ESPN said that Florida officials would be meeting with Scott's representatives over the weekend.

"I'm my representative and I'm going to be with my wife and baby," Frost said, alluding to the ESPN report.

The Cornhuskers are still in play however.

Two respected journalists _ and not fly-by bloggers _ have Frost going back home. Lars Anderson, formerly a writer at Sports Illustrated and now with Bleacher Report, tweeted out that it's a done deal (during the game as well).

Chris Fowler of ESPN then followed up in a series of tweets on Sunday.

"OK, it's late. Wee hours musings.. but the Scott Frost [at]Huskers "homecoming" front has been REAL quiet lately. TOO quiet. Deft bobbing and weaving. How much longer until the lid comes off?"

And then:

"Momma is calling. Can't let it go to voicemail."

Somebody will lose here, unfortunately, but it's the proverbial win-win for Frost.

He has brought a dynamic, energetic revival at UCF, and undoubtedly has forged a bond with his players, fans, and the community.

But he is also from Nebraska, played there as a QB, and a homecoming parade has to be extremely tempting. I suspect he goes, but would not be surprised if he stays. Maybe there will be a parade for him as well here if he makes that choice.

One thing is for certain however: There will be no moving vans heading to Gainesville.
